Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) – RN

Location: Asheville, NC

Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour)

Schedule: 36 hours/week, alternating weekends

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Start Date: October 11, 2026

About the Role

Clinical Scope & Experience Required

You must have solid ICU experience and proficiency in:

• Titration of vasopressor and sedative agents
• Mechanical ventilation and tracheostomy management
• Hemodynamic monitoring and PA catheter interpretation
• Transvenous pacing and cardioversion
• Telemetry interpretation

Procedures on Unit

Cardioversion, central line insertion, bronchoscopy, EGD, chest tube insertions, pericardiocentesis, and thoracentesis.

Equipment & Technology

Ventilators, telemetry, IABP, CRRT, Impella, and hypothermia devices.

Certifications & Skills

No certifications required. CCRN recommended. Experience or familiarity with IABP, Impella, and CRRT is highly desirable.

Uniform

Navy or Navy/White scrubs required. No pullovers, hoodies, or green scrubs.

Floating

Travelers may float to other unit areas as needed.
