Orthopedic RN — Night Shift | Asheville, NC

Shift: 18:45–07:15 (Night)

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week

Start Date: September 20, 2026

This orthopedic unit is a fast-paced, individual-room floor focused on post-surgical and musculoskeletal patient care. The team provides a high level of hands-on nursing with a strong emphasis on collaboration and patient-centered care.

Clinical Scope & Procedures:

• Dressing changes, suture and staple removal
• Foley catheter insertion and management
• NG tube placement and care
• Wound VAC maintenance and removal

Unit Details:

• Night shift staffing includes a charge RN, staff RNs, LPNs, PCTs, and a health unit coordinator
• Float requirement: other Med-Surg units as needed
• Weekend rotation: every other weekend

Required Qualifications:

• Active North Carolina RN license
• BLS certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior hospital experience
• Orthopedic nursing experience

• LPNs: Sage Green scrubs
