Pediatric / Pediatric Oncology RN — Night Shift | Asheville, NC

This 91-week contract places you on a combined Pediatric and Pediatric Oncology unit, where you'll care for both general pediatric patients and those undergoing oncology treatment. The unit maintains dedicated oncology nursing coverage every shift, with a focus on detail-oriented, organized care delivery.

Shift & Schedule

• Night shift: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• 6 weekend shifts required per contract period, including at least 2 Saturdays

Patient Population & Scope

• General pediatric and pediatric oncology patients
• Procedures and care consistent with a mixed peds/oncology inpatient setting
• Float coverage to PICU and NICU as needed

Staffing Model (Night Shift)

• 4 RNs + 1 Charge RN, 1 RT, 1 PCT per shift
• At least 1 oncology-certified nurse present every shift

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• Inpatient pediatric experience — required; candidates without this will not be considered
• Pediatric Oncology experience — required
• Certifications: BLS, PALS
• APHON certification required for oncology nurses

Dress Code

• All navy blue scrubs or white top

This role is well-suited for a composed, detail-oriented nurse comfortable managing both pediatric and oncology patient needs in a fast-paced inpatient environment. Start date: August 26, 2026.
