Float Pool Nurse – Med/Surg and Telemetry
Position Overview
The facility is seeking experienced float pool nurses to support medical/surgical and telemetry units. This is a 91-week contract with 36 guaranteed hours per week.
Shift & Schedule
- Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Flexibility: Every other weekend; holidays as required
- Float Requirement: You will float between multiple units and may be assigned to different hospital locations as needed
- Options: 36 or 48 hours per week
Requirements
- License: RN license (Alabama state or compact license; temporary licenses not accepted)
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing
- Certifications: AHA BLS and Red Cross certification
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty (or 18 months with demonstrated competency plus 1 year recent experience in med/surg or telemetry)
Clinical Details
You'll deliver care to medical/surgical and telemetry patients, managing routine monitoring, post-procedure recovery, and patients requiring cardiac surveillance. Float assignments may vary by unit acuity and census needs.
