Emergency Department Registered Nurse

Position Overview

The facility's Emergency Department is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver safe, effective, and patient-centered care. You'll work collaboratively with the healthcare team to develop comprehensive care plans while maintaining confidentiality and upholding high clinical standards.

Shift & Contract

• Three 12-hour night shifts per week (rotating schedule)
• 13-week contract
• 36 guaranteed hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting
• Conduct rapid patient assessments and respond efficiently to acute situations
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members
• Maintain thorough, accurate documentation
• Function independently while collaborating with colleagues

Required Qualifications

• Current Maine RN licensure or Authorization to Practice pending licensure by endorsement
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (must be obtained within six months of hire if not current)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience preferred
• Strong assessment, communication, computer, and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and respond rapidly in emergency situations
