REGISTERED NURSE — EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT
Location: Louisville, KY
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Contract Duration: 13 weeks

About the Role
The facility's Emergency Department is a high-volume, fast-paced environment where you'll provide comprehensive care to patients across a wide range of emergent and urgent conditions. You'll work as part of a collaborative team, managing , acute interventions, trauma activations, and codes.
Key Responsibilities
- and assess incoming patients to determine acuity and prioritize care
- Provide rapid nursing care for trauma activations, codes, and acute deterioration
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders and protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members on patient plans of care
- Monitor and manage patients awaiting admission, transfer, or discharge
- Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and follow-up care
- Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR
- Ensure infection control, safety, and de-escalation protocols are followed
- Support efficient patient flow in a high-volume setting
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license (Kentucky or compact license)
- Minimum 1+ year of Emergency Department experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification
- NIHSS certification
- Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing
- Two years of acute care RN experience preferred
- Two years of EMR experience preferred
Preferred Certifications
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse)
