Cardiothoracic ICU – Night Shift
Position Overview
Join the facility's Cardiothoracic ICU as a registered nurse on the night shift. This 13-week contract offers the opportunity to work with high-acuity post-operative cardiac patients in a focused, specialized environment.
Unit Details
The CTICU manages patients following cardiothoracic surgery, cardiogenic shock, and abdominal aortic aneurysm repair. You'll provide direct care to a small cohort of critically ill patients requiring intensive monitoring and intervention.
Requirements
- Current RN license in New York
- 2+ years of ICU experience required
- Experience with fresh hearts (immediate post-operative cardiac patients) is mandatory
- ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (specific system used at the facility)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour night shifts
- 89 guaranteed hours over the 13-week contract
- Willingness to work travel assignments
