Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab professional to join its interventional cardiology team. You will assist with diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, including structural heart cases when available.
Shift & Schedule
- 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday–Friday (4x10 schedule)
- One random day off during the week
- On-call: 1–2 nights per week; every 3rd weekend (Friday 7:30 PM – Monday 7:00 AM)
- Winter holiday coverage required: Work 1–2 of 3 upcoming winter holidays unless the unit is closed
Requirements
- 24+ months current Cardiac Cath/CCL experience (required)
- Circulating and monitoring experience (required)
- Trauma Level II experience (required)
- Active Iowa or compact/multistate RN license
- BLS and ACLS certification (AHA)
- Structural heart and EP experience (highly preferred)
- Travel nursing experience (highly preferred)
- Scrubbing experience (preferred)
- Trauma Level I experience (preferred)
Additional Information
- 13-week contract; guaranteed hours available
- Willing to float across nearby Des Moines campuses to similar units
- Professional reference from supervisor or manager within the past 24 months (preferred)
- Orientation dates: 10/19, 10/26, 11/2, 11/9
- Candidate must be at least 50 miles from the facility per driver's license
