Med Surg/Telemetry Nurse – Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Med Surg/Telemetry nurse for a 9-week contract. You'll assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care for patients while adhering to organizational policies and professional nursing standards. This role requires strong clinical judgment and the ability to deliver quality care appropriate to each patient's needs.
Shift & Schedule
- 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (36 hours guaranteed per week)
- Night shift, 3 days per week
- On-call schedule and weekend requirements to be determined by the facility
- No scheduling restrictions; flexibility with the facility's schedule is required
Key Requirements
- 2+ years recent Med Surg/Telemetry experience
- 2+ years working with stroke patients (must be listed on resume)
- Willingness to care for telemetry patients as needed
- Maryland RN license (current)
- Active AHA BLS certification
- COVID vaccination (required; declinations not approved)
- Previous travel nursing experience
Required Certifications (if offered, must complete within 48 hours)
- NIHSS Certification
- mRs/SIREN Certification
- Basic EKG (score 85% or higher)

- Current RN license verification (less than 30 days old)
- Resume with all gaps over 30 days explained
- Two supervisory references (one from last 6 months, one from last 12 months)
- Med Surg-specific skills checklist
- COVID vaccine documentation
- BLS certification card
