About the Role
The facility's radiology department is seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform diagnostic and screening mammography exams. You'll work directly with patients and physicians to deliver high-quality imaging and ensure accurate clinical documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and screening mammography exams per physician orders, with attention to positioning accuracy and image quality
- Educate patients on procedures and address concerns with professionalism
- Operate and maintain mammography equipment while ensuring compliance with QA/QC standards
- Assist with breast biopsy and localization procedures as needed
- Review patient history and prior imaging for continuity of care
- Follow radiation safety protocols and ALARA principles
- Document exams accurately in RIS/PACS systems
- Collaborate with radiologists on findings and follow-up imaging needs
- Maintain MQSA compliance documentation and accreditation standards
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Valid state radiologic technology license
- ARRT certification in Radiography (R) and Mammography (M)
- BLS certification
- 1+ years of mammography experience
- Compliance with MQSA continuing education requirements
