Psychiatric Registered Nurse
Shift & Schedule
11:00 PM – 7:30 AM, 8-hour nights | 40 hours guaranteed weekly | 13-week contract
About the Role
The unit accepts referrals from crisis teams, emergency departments, and community outpatient providers across Vermont and southern New Hampshire. In addition to nursing care, you'll perform phlebotomy and blood draws as part of your daily responsibilities.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years current psychiatric nursing experience
- Current phlebotomy certification and ability to perform blood draws
- Active Vermont RN license
- Current BLS (AHA) certification
- ACLS and CPI certifications strongly preferred
- Own vehicle required
- Supervisory reference from the past 2 years required
Important Notes
- Every-other-weekend and holiday coverage required as needed
- Maximum 5 days of requested time off (RTO) allowed; all scheduling requests must be submitted at time of application — requests after offer may be rescinded
- You must work the following holiday blocks if scheduled:
- Thanksgiving Day, Friday after, and following weekend
- Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and following weekend
- New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and following weekend
- Small critical access facility or travel experience is preferred
