Medical ICU (MICU) – Registered Nurse
New Hampshire | Nights | 13-Week Contract
This MICU position focuses exclusively on internal medicine and non-surgical critical illness. Patients present with severe sepsis, acute respiratory failure, diabetic emergencies, toxic ingestions, and complex multi-organ dysfunction. The clinical team manages these cases through mechanical ventilation, vasopressor infusions, and aggressive medical therapy.
Shift & Schedule
- 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 36 hours per week
- Every other weekend required; holiday coverage required if scheduled
- Block scheduling is not available for this assignment
- No guaranteed 48-hour turnaround
Holiday Commitment
Travelers must be available to work at least two of the following blocks if scheduled:
- Thanksgiving Day, the Friday after, and that weekend
- Christmas Eve through Christmas Day and that weekend
- New Year's Eve through New Year's Day and that weekend
Time Off
All RTO must be submitted at the time of profile upload. No RTO requests will be approved after submission or at/following offer. Maximum of 5 days RTO accepted.
Requirements
- 3+ years of current MICU experience (required)
- Current mechanical ventilator experience (required)
- Active New Hampshire RN license or multi-state Compact license
- AHA BLS and AHA ACLS (both required)
- Medical-Surgical and Stepdown/PCU skills checklists, current within 1 year
- One supervisory reference from within the past two years
- Personal vehicle required
- Local candidates are not eligible
- Previous travel experience preferred
