Registered Nurse – ICU

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join its ICU. You will deliver coordinated nursing care to a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care. In this role, you'll supervise and direct various levels of assigned nursing staff, collaborate across disciplines, and apply critical thinking and independent judgment to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Shift & Contract Details

• Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (36-hour/48-hour schedule)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Location: Bakersfield, CA

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and assess relevant patient data to determine diagnoses and care needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans using evidence-based interventions.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of nursing staff and interdisciplinary team members.
• Evaluate patient progress toward established outcomes.
• Provide patient and family education and support.
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure care continuity.
• Delegate appropriately and manage team workflows.

Required Qualifications

• Current RN licensure in California.
• BLS certification (from approved vendor).
• AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS certification.
• Minimum 2 years recent acute care experience.
• Impella and Balloon Pump experience required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).

This is a fast-paced ICU role requiring strong clinical judgment and leadership skills.
