Nephrology/Transplant Nurse — Day Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a registered nurse for the transplant nephrology unit. This is a 13-week contract beginning November 30, 2026.
Shift & Schedule
- Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 4 days per week
- Guaranteed: 48 hours weekly
- Weekends: 3 shifts per month required
- On-call: None
- Floating: Agency/contract nurses float as needed
Unit Details
You'll provide direct care to patients with kidney transplants and renal conditions. The unit includes a dedicated unit secretary during day shifts, patient care technicians, and a unit educator. A virtual nurse handles patient admissions, allowing bedside nurses to focus on clinical care and patient needs.
Clinical Scope
- Medical-surgical and nephrology care
- Kidney transplant patient management
- Renal care and support
- Dialysis experience preferred (dialysis procedures are performed off-unit)
Requirements
- RN with ADN (Associate Degree in Nursing) minimum
- BLS certification required
- Medical-surgical and nephrology experience preferred
Dress Code
Royal blue or black scrubs
