Medical-Surgical RN – Stroke Stepdown

Position Overview

The facility seeks an experienced Medical-Surgical RN for its stroke stepdown unit.Shift & Schedule

• Hours: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour blocks (block scheduling not guaranteed)
• Contract Length: 89 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
• Floating: Yes, required

Clinical Focus

This unit specializes in stroke recovery and medical-surgical patients with diagnoses including stroke, altered mental status, renal/dialysis issues, COPD, CHF, ia, pulmonary conditions, and general medical-surgical cases. You'll manage patients requiring IV pumps, NG tubes, and feeding tubes.

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years MS experience with stroke stepdown background
• Travel nursing experience required
• Active NY RN license (all active licenses must be verified via NURSYS)
• Current AHA BLS certification
• NIHSS certification (can be obtained prior to start)
• Driver's license with matching address
