Position: OR Nurse – Surgical Center
Location: Wheeling, WV
Contract Duration: 13 weeks

About the Role
Join the surgical team in a busy pre-operative and surgical center environment. You'll support 15 surgical suites handling 55–70 cases daily, covering all procedure types including same-day and overnight stays. This is an acute care surgical setting focused on pre-operative nursing care.
Shift & Schedule
- 3 rotating 12-hour shifts per week (occasional midnight shifts as needed)
- Day shift times: 6–2, 7–3, 8–4, or 9–5
- Weekend rotation: One 8-hour shift (7–3) on Saturday or Sunday, plus one 24-hour secondary call day monthly (7 A.M.–7 A.M.)
- Call response time: 30 minutes
- Guaranteed hours: 40 per week
- Cancellation policy: Up to 2 shifts per 13-week contract
Requirements
- Current BLS Certification required
- RN license (BSN preferred but not required)
- Strong IV insertion skills
- Knowledge of surgical care and robotic procedures
- Scrubbing ability
- Valid, unexpired driver's license (50-mile radius from facility required)
What You'll Do
Provide direct pre-operative patient care, prepare surgical teams, insert lines, and support same-day and overnight surgical cases. You may be asked to float to the OR holding area as operational needs arise.
