Medical-Surgical Nurse – Orthopedics

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical nurse to join the Orthopedics unit for a 13-week contract. You'll work day shifts in a fast-paced environment caring for post-operative orthopedic patients and those undergoing joint procedures.

Schedule & Duration

• Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (3 × 12-hour shifts per week, 36 hours/week)
• Contract: 13 weeks
• Start Date: November 16, 2026
• Guaranteed hours

Requirements

• 18+ months of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• Strong background in Neuro and Ortho preferred
• Current Georgia or Compact RN license
• AHA BLS certification

Clinical Environment

You'll care for orthopedic patients across the surgical continuum, from pre-operative assessment through post-operative recovery and discharge planning. Responsibilities include wound care, pain management, mobility assistance, and patient education.
