Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Float Pool RN
Position Overview
The facility seeks experienced RNs for a 13-week contract in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry float pool. You'll work 12-hour day shifts (7am–7pm) with every-other-weekend scheduling (Saturday/Sunday).
Clinical Setting
Requirements & Responsibilities
- Current RN license (required at submission)
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Must pass a mandatory cardiac rhythm interpretation exam
- Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips independently
- No drip titration required
- Familiarity with CPAP and BiPap (managed by Respiratory Therapy)
Support & Structure
Charge nurses are available 24/7 on all units. Day charge does not take a patient assignment; night charge carries a full load. CNAs support patient care on all units. You'll receive 1–2 orientation shifts with a preceptor.
Logistics
- Dress code: Royal blue scrubs
- Unit assignments made by clinical coordinator prior to shift start
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week contract
- Note: Candidates must provide an unexpired driver's license (50-mile radius requirement)
