Registered Nurse – Labor & Delivery
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Labor & Delivery unit on a night shift rotation. This 13-week contract offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic obstetric environment providing direct patient care during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.
Shift Details
- Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 3 × 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)
- 13-week contract with guaranteed hours
Requirements
- Current RN license (Georgia or compact license required)
- Minimum 18 months of L&D experience
- BLS (AHA) certification
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Fetal Monitoring certification
- ACLS certification preferred
- Proficiency with IV insertion
- Experience with electronic charting
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care to laboring and postpartum patients
- Monitor fetal well-being and patient vitals
- Assist with deliveries and postpartum assessments
- Float to other departments as operational needs arise; assignments are monitored and rotated fairly
Clinical Environment
Work alongside experienced L&D nurses in a patient-centered setting. The unit manages uncomplicated and high-risk obstetric cases, including labor induction, vaginal delivery, and immediate postpartum care.
