Operating Room Nurse
About the Role
Join the operating room as a staff nurse in an acute-care setting. You'll work 12-hour day shifts, weekends as scheduled, with guaranteed 36 hours per week. The facility performs approximately 65 cases daily across general, orthopedic, vascular (excluding open-heart), neurosurgery, ENT, and ophthalmology procedures.
Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care across all OR areas
- Cross-train in endoscopy; experience with minimally invasive procedures is valuable
- Assist with a range of surgical specialties and case types
- Support modern sedation practices in the OR and endoscopy suites
Requirements
- Current BLS certification
- Valid driver's license (must be submitted with application)
- Experience in all areas of the operating room
- ACLS certification required (due to sedation protocols)
- Ability to work within a 50-mile radius of the facility
Call Schedule
- One weeknight call every 4 weeks (7 PM – 7 AM)
- One weekend shift call per 3-month period (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, up to 24 hours)
- Two shifts per 13-week contract may be cancelled

Experience with robotic-assisted surgery (DaVinci) is a plus.
