Med Surg Tele

Medical-Surgical Telemetry | Night Shift | Canton, OH | 13-Week Contract

This travel nursing opportunity places you in a Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit on permanent night shift, working three 12-hour shifts per week (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM).

Contract Details

• Schedule: Nights, 3x12 (19:00–07:30)
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Start date: November 2026
• Holiday coverage: Every other holiday required

Clinical Requirements

• Minimum 12 months of permanent (non-travel) experience in Med-Surg Telemetry required
• ECG rhythm recognition competency expected; assessment completed during orientation
• Medication safety assessment (safeMedicate) completed during orientation; two attempts maximum to pass

Licenses & Certifications — All Must Be Active and In Hand at Submission

• Permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license
• BLS (AHA or American Red Cross)
• ACLS (AHA or American Red Cross)
• NIHSS — must be obtained prior to start date

Submission Requirements

• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director within the specialty, from an assignment worked within the past 12 months (co-worker references not accepted)
• No open background case or license hits
• BCI/FBI fingerprint clearance must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing

Additional Compliance

• COVID-19 and flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Nicotine-free status required for most roles; nurses are currently exempt under a temporary exemption policy

Extensions

• Candidates may extend continuously for up to 18 months, after which a 6-month break is required.
