Medical/Surgical Telemetry RN – 12-Hour Nights

Position Overview

The facility is seeking a Medical/Surgical Telemetry RN for a 12-hour night shift position. You'll work every other weekend and serve as the first-to-float resource across all Medical/Surgical units, with potential to support the Progressive Care Unit for telemetry holds prior to transfer.

Unit Details

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret telemetry strips; monitor technicians support real-time patient surveillance
• Manage patients requiring CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen therapy

• Float across Medical/Surgical units as needed to support census and patient acuity

Requirements

• Current BLS certification required
• Excellent communication and time management skills
• Ability to read telemetry strips
• RN license (willing to wait for licensure transfer)
• Must work the assigned schedule; block scheduling cannot be guaranteed

Scheduling & Contract Terms

• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 6-week contract
• Every other weekend required
• Holidays required
• 4-shift cancellation allowance per 13-week assignment
• Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Scrub color: Navy blue
