Respiratory Therapist – NICU

Position Overview

Join the respiratory care team in a fast-paced NICU environment. This 13-week travel assignment runs 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, with 36 guaranteed hours per week.

About the Role

You'll provide comprehensive respiratory support to critically ill neonates, including airway management, mechanical ventilation, and emergency stabilization. You'll work closely with neonatologists, nurses, and interdisciplinary providers to deliver high-quality, evidence-based care in a Level III NICU.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage airways and ventilators (including high-frequency oscillatory ventilation)
• Assess and monitor neonatal patients on various respiratory support modes
• Provide emergency department backup as needed
• Collaborate with the care team to optimize patient outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months current NICU RRT experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
• Level III NICU experience required
• Pediatric experience required
• NBRC Certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Critical care or PICU background
