Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Shift & Schedule

• 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• 5 weekend shifts per 6-week rotation
• 13-week contract
• 36 guaranteed hours per week

About the Role

You'll work in the emergency department, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care using the nursing process. You'll manage multiple priorities, direct co-workers appropriately, and delegate tasks to support safe, effective patient care. This role requires strong independent decision-making and critical thinking in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and develop individualized plans of care for each patient
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Implement physician orders and communicate relevant patient status changes
• Provide patient and family education from arrival through discharge
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation
• Ensure equipment and supplies are available and report malfunctions
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing (Bachelor's degree preferred)
• Valid Ohio nursing license
• Current CPR certification
• Previous nursing experience preferred

Physical Demands
