Registered Nurse – Telemetry
Position Overview
The facility is seeking a Registered Nurse for its telemetry unit. You'll provide continuous cardiac monitoring and nursing care to patients with acute cardiac and other conditions, working collaboratively with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, effective, patient-centered care.
Shift & Duration
- Days: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Schedule: Every other weekend per unit need
- Contract: 13 weeks
- Start Date: November 22, 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor cardiac rhythms continuously; identify and escalate arrhythmias
- Assess patients and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Administer cardiac medications and drips per physician orders
- Collaborate with cardiologists and the care team on patient plans
- Respond to rapid response and code situations
- Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions and treatment plans
- Document assessments and interventions accurately
- Maintain infection control and fall prevention protocols
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license (state or compact)
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Telemetry/EKG interpretation competency
- Minimum 1 year of telemetry experience
- Experience monitoring cardiac rhythms and managing cardiac medications
Preferred Qualifications
- BSN degree (ADN accepted per facility policy)
- 2+ years of acute inpatient telemetry experience
