Labor & Delivery — Night Shift
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery nurse for a night shift role. This is a 13-week contract assignment.
Shift & Schedule
- Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Guaranteed: 36 hours per week
- Location: Marion, NC
Clinical Scope
You'll provide direct patient care on the L&D unit, supporting laboring patients, managing deliveries, and collaborating with obstetric and anesthesia teams. Your nursing expertise will be essential during night hours when staffing is lean and patient acuity can vary.
Requirements
- Active RN license (North Carolina)
- Current certifications as required by the facility (e.g., ACLS, NRP, or facility-specific L&D competencies)
- Experience in labor and delivery nursing
- Ability to work nights independently and as part of a team
What to Expect
A fast-paced, patient-centered environment where you'll manage multiple patients at different stages of labor, assist with deliveries, monitor fetal and maternal status, and provide compassionate support during a critical life event. Night shifts may include on-call or callback expectations per facility protocol.
