Registered Nurse – Telemetry
Location: Louisville, KY
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Schedule: Every other weekend per unit need
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Start Date: October 25, 2026
About the Role
The facility is seeking a Registered Nurse for its telemetry unit. You'll provide continuous cardiac monitoring and nursing care to patients with acute cardiac and other conditions, working closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to deliver safe, effective, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, interpret EKGs, and identify arrhythmias; escalate care as needed
- Administer cardiac medications, including drips and antiarrhythmics, per physician orders
- Assess and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
- Collaborate with cardiologists and the care team on patient plans
- Respond to rapid response and code interventions
- Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, treatment, and lifestyle modifications
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately
- Maintain infection control and fall prevention protocols
- Manage a standard patient load per unit guidelines
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license (state or compact license)
- 1+ years of telemetry experience
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Telemetry/EKG interpretation competency
- Experience with cardiac rhythm monitoring and cardiac medications
- Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher
Preferred Qualifications
- BSN
- 2+ years of acute care experience
