Emergency Department Nurse
Position Overview
Join the Emergency Department as a Registered Nurse on a 13-week contract. You'll provide direct patient care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment serving all age groups in the community.
Shift & Schedule
- Shift: 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM
- Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week (guaranteed 36 hours)
- Weekends: Every other weekend
- Holidays: As required
- Float requirement: Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals
Clinical Scope
Requirements
- License: Registered Nurse (Alabama state or compact license; no temporary licenses)
- Education: Associate degree in nursing
- Certifications: AHA ACLS, AHA BLS, AHA PALS, NIHO, Red Cross
- Experience: Minimum 2 years (or 18 months with advanced licensure, plus 2 years in emergency/trauma specialty)
Work Environment
- Clinical position; patient-facing
- Solid navy scrubs
- On-site
