This Med Surg Telemetry unit cares for a broad variety of medical-surgical patients and is building a team culture centered on adaptability, collaboration, and continuous learning. Nurses here are expected to float across multiple campuses, making versatility and a positive attitude essential.

Shift Details

• 4 x 12-hour night shifts per week
• Schedule: Friday–Monday, or Friday–Sunday plus one weeknight
• Every other or every third weekend, depending on staffing and census
• Holiday commitment: 1–2 holidays required per contract period

Clinical Scope

• Diverse medical-surgical patient population
• Heparin drip management
• Remote telemetry monitoring support

Scrubs: Navy blue, solid colors

Requirements

• Minimum 24 months of recent Med Surg or Med Surg Tele experience
• At least one completed travel contract within the previous 18 months (no first-time travelers)
• Recent charge or preceptor experience required
• Telemetry/cardiac background highly preferred
• Active Iowa RN license or compact/multistate license at time of submission
• AHA or ARC BLS certification required
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility

• Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, or nurse manager within the past 24 months
