Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its Emergency Department. You will provide rapid, comprehensive care to patients presenting with emergent and urgent conditions in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• and assess incoming patients to determine acuity and prioritize care
• Provide nursing care across a wide range of emergency presentations
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders and protocols
• Respond to trauma activations, codes, and rapid deterioration with appropriate interventions
• Monitor and manage patients awaiting admission, transfer, or discharge
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary team members on plan of care
• Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and follow-up care
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient response
• Support patient flow and throughput in a high-volume setting
• Ensure infection control, safety, and de-escalation protocols are followed

Requirements

• Active RN license (state or compact)
• Minimum 1 year of ER experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• NIHSS certification required
• ADN or BSN (BSN preferred)
• Ability to work in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment with protocols

Preferred Qualifications

• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse)

Schedule

• 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM
• Weekends per unit need
• 13-week contract
• Start date: October 25, 2026
