Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

About the Role
The facility's Emergency Department is seeking an experienced RN to join a fast-paced, high-acuity team. You'll work in a dynamic environment managing patients across a wide spectrum of emergent and urgent conditions—from trauma activations and codes to urgent care needs and admissions.
Key Responsibilities
- and rapidly assess incoming patients to determine acuity and prioritize care
- Provide comprehensive nursing care, administer medications and treatments per protocol, and respond swiftly to deterioration or emergencies
- Manage trauma activations, cardiac codes, and acute interventions
- Monitor patients awaiting admission, transfer, or discharge; maintain efficient patient flow
- Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and the interdisciplinary team on care plans
- Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and follow-up care
- Document assessments, interventions, and responses accurately in the EMR
- Maintain infection control, patient safety, and de-escalation protocols
Requirements
- Active RN license (state or compact license)
- BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification required
- 1+ years of emergency department experience
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) or CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse) preferred
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in high-volume, high-acuity environments
- Experience with protocols and emergency response
