Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) — Registered Nurse
Corpus Christi, TX | 13-Week Contract | Weekends
This OR position focuses on cardiovascular surgery, including open-heart cases, with the ability to flex to support general OR as needed. The ideal candidate is comfortable in a high-acuity surgical environment and can practice independently while managing complex clinical situations.
Schedule
- Shift: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
- Days: Friday–Sunday or Saturday–Monday
- One weekday call shift per week; one holiday required
Clinical Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience (open-heart cases required)
- Cardiovascular charting experience required
- Ability to support general OR as needed
- Competence in nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
- Skilled in medication administration, side-effect monitoring, and patient/family education
Certifications & Licensure
- Active RN license in Texas or a compact state
- BLS (American Heart Association only)
Education
- BSN preferred

- Contract length: 13 weeks
