Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Overview

The facility's Emergency Department is seeking an experienced RN to join a fast-paced, high-acuity team. You'll provide rapid assessment and care to patients presenting with emergent and urgent conditions, including trauma activations and codes.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform rapid and assess incoming patients to determine acuity and prioritize care
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders and protocols
• Respond to trauma activations, codes, and rapid patient deterioration
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams on patient care plans
• Monitor patients awaiting admission, transfer, or discharge
• Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and follow-up care
• Document assessments and interventions accurately in the EMR
• Maintain infection control and safety protocols

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (state or compact license)
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification
• TNCC and NIH stroke certification required
• Colorado CAPS certification
• Minimum 1+ years of emergency department experience
• Proficiency with protocols and high-acuity environments

Preferred

• BSN degree
• CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse) certification

Schedule

Every other weekend and holidays per unit rotation. May float to support other locations as needed.
