Emergency Department — Travel RN | Night Shift | Independence, MO

This busy Emergency Department is seeking experienced travel RNs for a 13-week contract with night shift coverage (19:00–07:00, 4×12s). Guaranteed 48-hour weeks are available.

Unit Overview

The ED operates around the clock with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses, team leads, RNs, advanced paramedics, emergency department technicians, mental health support clinicians, and unit secretaries on both shifts. The unit manages a high-volume, fast-paced patient population with an emphasis on adaptability and team collaboration.

Clinical Scope

• IV starts and phlebotomy
• Cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• EKG acquisition
• IO access and rapid fluid resuscitation
• Ultrasound-assisted procedures

Ideal Candidate

• Thrives under pressure in high-acuity, high-volume environments
• Collaborative, outgoing, and adaptable
• Prior emergency department or high-acuity experience strongly preferred

Required Certifications (RN)

• BLS, ACLS, TNCC, ENPC, CPI

Dress Code

• RN: Gray scrub top with black or gray scrub bottoms
• Medic: Gray scrub top with black or gray scrub bottoms
• EDT/Secretary: Caribbean blue scrub top with Caribbean blue or black scrub bottoms
• Approved colored T-shirts may be worn under a nursing scrub jacket or hospital-approved jacket
