Labor & Delivery RN — Travel Contract | Rochester, NY
This Labor & Delivery unit handles antepartum, intrapartum, and immediate postpartum care in a hands-on obstetric environment. The team manages a range of deliveries and maternal acuity levels, with nursing staff expected to be clinically versatile across the perinatal spectrum.
Shift & Schedule
- 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, with night/day rotation
- 36 or 48 hours available per week
- 1 weekend shift per week, or 2 weekend shifts every other weekend
- At least 1 holiday shift required per contract
- Block scheduling may be requested but is not guaranteed
Contract Details
- Duration: 16 weeks or longer
- Start Date: October 27, 2026
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
Float Requirements
Nurses may float to mother/baby, newborn nursery, or the OR (circulating role) based on unit needs.
Required Certifications & Licensure
- Active New York RN license
- AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS
- NRP
- C-EFM (Fetal Monitoring Certification)
Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
- Non-U.S. candidates must have at least 2 years of U.S. clinical experience
