Med/Surg RN — Travel Contract | Fort Morgan, CO
This 13-week travel contract places you in a rural acute care Med/Surg unit on 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), with a projected start date of November 16, 2026.
The Unit
The Med/Surg unit manages a general acute care patient population with common diagnoses including CHF, hypertension, chest pain work-ups, COPD exacerbations, asthma, ia, pancreatitis, bowel obstructions, gastrointestinal bleeding, and acute renal failure. RNs titrate drips including analgesics, anticoagulants, and antihypertensives. There are no monitor techs — nurses must be comfortable independently reading telemetry strips and escalating concerns to a physician. Respiratory support on the unit includes CPAP, BiPAP, high-flow, and ventilators.
