Medical-Surgical RN – Night Shift

Position Details

• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Schedule: 6–9 weekend shifts per 6-week cycle; self-scheduling and block scheduling available
• Contract: 91 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
• Orientation: One week provided; must be in-state (remote modules may be available)

Clinical Scope

You'll care for medical-surgical patients with diagnoses including congestive heart failure, hypertension, chest pain work-ups, COPD exacerbations, asthma, ia, pancreatitis, bowel obstructions, gastrointestinal bleeding, and acute renal failure.

Unit Details

• Responsibilities: Titrate analgesics, anticoagulants, and antihypertensives; manage CPAP, BiPAP, high-flow oxygen, and mechanical ventilation
• Float Requirements: May float within Zone 1 during extreme staffing needs; may also float to ICU (low-acuity holds), PCU/stepdown, or other acuity levels as needed
• Scrubs: Navy blue

Requirements

• Current RN license (will be verified)
• BLS and ACLS (AHA)
• TNCC and NIHSS preferred
• Valid driver's license; 60-mile radius
• Willingness to work holidays and minimum six weekend shifts per cycle

Cancellation Policy

The facility may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment (3 shifts for shorter contracts).
