Emergency Department RN — Southern California

Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM | 36–48 hours/week

Contract Duration: 70 weeks

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week

This night-shift Emergency Department RN role is based at a facility in the Simi Valley, CA area. The ED team manages a broad acuity mix requiring strong assessment skills, rapid intervention, and collaborative care across multiple disciplines.

Clinical Responsibilities:

• Deliver coordinated nursing care using established standards and the nursing process
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and evaluate progress toward outcomes
• Supervise and direct nursing staff, delegating appropriately across care team roles
• Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary providers in a safe, patient-centered environment
• Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
• Provide patient and family education throughout the care continuum

Required Certifications & Licensure:

• Active RN license (state of California or compact equivalent)
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• NIH Stroke Scale certification
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) / Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM or TEAM-A)

Additional Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care or ED experience
• BSN preferred
• Holiday RTO will not be approved
• Note: No holiday time-off requests will be honored during the contract period
