Night Shift RN — Progressive Care Unit
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced RN for its Progressive Care Unit on the night shift. You'll provide skilled nursing care to patients requiring close monitoring and intervention in a dynamic acute-care environment.
Shift & Schedule
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (12-hour nights)
- Hours: 36 per week
- Weekend requirement: 1 shift per week OR 2 shifts every other week
- Holidays: At least 1 per contract
- Contract duration: 13 weeks
- Block scheduling requests are considered but not guaranteed
Clinical Scope
Care for progressive care and medical-surgical patients, including those on telemetry. You'll manage cardiac drips, ventilators, and acute BiPAP support. Charge duties are encouraged but not required. Float assignments to other units may occur as needed.
Requirements
- Active New York RN license
- Minimum 2 years recent experience in acute PCU, med-surg, or telemetry
- Recent hands-on experience with cardiac drips, ventilators, and BiPAP
- For non-U.S. candidates: 2 years of U.S. work experience
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
- Flexibility with scheduling needs
