Emergency Department Registered Nurse
Position Overview
The facility seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for its Emergency Department. You'll be part of a clinical team delivering direct and indirect patient care across a full spectrum of emergency services, including a dedicated Chest Pain Center.
Shift & Contract Details
- Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM (nights)
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: October 26, 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients upon admission and throughout their stay
- Administer IV medications, therapy, and blood products as ordered
- Provide patient education and support
- Document nursing care actions, observations, and patient responses
- Assume charge nurse and preceptor roles as needed
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience
- At least 1 year of critical care nursing experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification
- Valid, unrestricted nursing license
- Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
Important Notes
- Up to 16 hours of orientation is unpaid
- The facility reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts per 13-week contract period
