Labor & Delivery RN — Nashville, Tennessee
Night Shift | 13-Week Contract | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
This Labor & Delivery position is based in Nashville, TN within a Women's and Children's unit. The unit supports the full spectrum of obstetric care, from active labor through delivery and postpartum stabilization.
Clinical Scope
Nurses on this unit manage laboring patients, provide immediate newborn care following delivery, and circulate and recover cesarean section patients. Procedures performed include vaginal deliveries, c-sections, D&C, cerclage, epidural anesthesia, and tub labor. The unit is supported by a team that includes RNs, a unit secretary, and OR techs.
Schedule & Expectations
- Three 12-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
- Three weekend shifts and one call shift per scheduling period
- Travelers float first per unit policy
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
Required Certifications & Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NRP
- AWHONN Intermediate (not Advanced) or CEFM

- Scrubs not provided; required colors are Ceil Blue, Navy Blue, or Gray
