Cath Lab/IR Tech
About the Role
Join the facility's cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology lab as a Cath Lab/IR Tech. You'll support a high-volume procedural program performing 280+ cases monthly across four procedure rooms, working alongside cardiologists and interventional radiologists in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Shift & Schedule
- Days: 4×10 hours, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- Call: 12–13 days per 6-week rotation; weekday call 5:30 PM–7:00 AM, weekend call Friday 5:30 PM–Monday 7:00 AM
- On-site requirement: Must live within 30 minutes of the facility during call periods
- Weekends: Expected to work some holidays and weekends
- Guaranteed hours: 40 per week
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years cath lab or IR tech experience (first-time travelers welcome)
- Current ACLS, BLS, and RCIS with IR tech certification
- Travel experience required
Clinical Scope
You'll assist with:
- Diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations, PCIs, and stent placements
- Temporary and permanent pacemaker and AICD insertions
- Electrophysiology studies and cardiac ablations
- Vascular interventions: thrombectomy, angiography, port placement, dialysis graft interventions
- Pain management: RF ablation and joint/spinal steroid injections
- STEMI calls (8–12 monthly)
