CVOR Registered Nurse — La Jolla, CA

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Day shift, Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts (no weekends)

Start Date: November 2026

This travel RN opportunity supports a cardiovascular operating room in the La Jolla, CA area. The position follows a standard weekday schedule with no weekend or on-call requirements, making it well-suited for clinicians seeking a structured daytime assignment.

Clinical Scope

You'll work in a cardiovascular OR environment providing perioperative nursing care for cardiac surgical patients. Specific procedures and acuity align with CVOR specialty practice.

Requirements

• Active California RN license (Temp or Perm) required at time of submittal — no EMSA
• BLS (AHA) required
• Minimum 2 years of concurrent CVOR experience
• Electronic health record proficiency required within the last 6 months of work history
• Travel nursing experience required
• No candidates residing within 100 miles of the facility; candidates on assignment in San Diego for 9+ months are considered local and ineligible

Scheduling & Float

• Monday–Friday schedule; no weekends
• Float may be required at or below current skillset, and occasional float to an alternate campus is possible based on staffing needs
• Maximum 7 days RTO; no new RTO requests after submittal

• Valid copies of all required certifications at time of submission
• One supervisory-level reference required
• Interview availability required promptly upon submission
