Cardiac Care ICU RN
Position Overview
Join the Cardiac Care ICU as a Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract. You'll work 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) on a 12x3 schedule with 36 guaranteed hours per week.
About the Unit
This specialized cardiac care unit focuses on patients recovering from open heart, vascular, and thoracic surgeries. You'll care for high-acuity post-operative patients and manage advanced therapeutic devices including intra-aortic balloon pumps, Impella support systems, CRRT, and epicardial pacemakers. The clinical environment demands strong critical care skills and the ability to respond rapidly to hemodynamic changes.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in cardiac or critical care
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
- CCRN and NIHSS preferred
Holiday Commitment
You must work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) and 1 of the 3 minor holidays (Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve).
