Night Shift | 13-Week Contract
Join a high-acuity Labor & Delivery unit in Asheville, NC, caring for a diverse patient population that includes high-risk and complex obstetric cases.
Shift & Schedule
- Nights: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
- Guaranteed hours: 36/week
- Weekends and on-call: Not required (available upon approval)
- Contract duration: 16 weeks | Start date: October 8, 2026
Clinical Scope
The unit manages the full spectrum of obstetric care, including:
- Vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections
- D&C, cerclage, and cesarean hysterectomy
- High-risk and immediate newborn care
- Float responsibilities to MFM, postpartum, and NICU as needed
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience
- High-risk OB experience required
- Immediate newborn care competency
- Active RN license
Required Certifications
- NRP
- BLS/ACLS
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring
Preferred Skills
- OR circulating experience
