Telemetry RN – 13-Week Contract

Location: Atlanta, GA

Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours/week)

Contract Duration: 13 weeks

About the Role

The facility is seeking a Telemetry RN to provide continuous cardiac monitoring and acute nursing care to patients with cardiac and other acute-care conditions. You'll interpret cardiac rhythms, identify arrhythmias, and escalate care promptly. This role includes managing cardiac drips, antiarrhythmic medications, and responding to rapid response and code interventions as part of an interdisciplinary care team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide continuous cardiac monitoring and assess/respond to changes in patient condition
• Interpret EKGs and cardiac rhythms; identify and report arrhythmias
• Administer cardiac medications and drips per physician orders
• Collaborate with cardiologists, physicians, and the care team on patient plans
• Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions and treatment
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation
• Follow infection control and fall prevention protocols
• Respond to rapid response and code situations as needed

Requirements

• Active RN license (Georgia or compact license)
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• 18+ months of telemetry experience
• Competency in EKG interpretation and cardiac rhythm monitoring
• IV insertion and PICC line experience
• BSN preferred; ADN accepted per facility policy
