Registered Nurse – Cardiac Cath Lab
Position Overview
The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. You'll deliver coordinated nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac interventional procedures, supervise assigned nursing staff, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
Shift & Schedule
- Days: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- On-call: 7:00 PM – 12:00 AM as needed
- 4 x 10-hour days per week
- 13-week contract
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for cardiac catheterization patients pre-, intra-, and post-procedure
- Assess patient data, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate outcomes
- Supervise and coordinate activities of nursing staff and other team members
- Collaborate with physicians, patients, and families to deliver safe, compassionate care
- Educate patients and families regarding procedures and recovery
- Participate in discharge planning and care coordination
- Delegate tasks appropriately and support team efficiency
Required Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in California
- Minimum two years recent acute care experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- AHA BLS certification (required)
- AHA ACLS certification (required)
- Current CPR certification
- Proficiency with electronic health records systems
