Cardiac Catheterization Lab RN — Travel Contract | Glens Falls, NY
Shift: Days | 4×10s or 5×8s (clinician's choice at time of offer)
Contract Duration: 13 weeks | Start Date: Late October 2026
About the Unit
The Cardiac Catheterization Lab serves both acute inpatient and elective outpatient populations, operating 24/7 with staff available for emergency procedures during off-hours, weekends, and holidays. Care is delivered through an interdisciplinary team of specialized physicians, registered nurses, radiology technologists, and cardiovascular technologists.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Continuous hemodynamic monitoring and assessment
- Administration of conscious/moderate sedation
- Mixing and maintaining IV/IC infusions and bolus medications
- Assisting physicians with diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Alerting physicians to changes in patient condition
- Phase I patient recovery
On-Call & Weekends
- On-call: 1–2 nights per week as needed
- Weekend rotation: approximately every 4 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of current Cath Lab experience
- 2+ years in cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures
- STEMI and STEMI call experience required
- Proficiency interpreting EKG and hemodynamic pressure tracings
- Conscious sedation and IV experience required
- Cath and peripheral vascular experience required
- Active NY RN license, ACLS, and BLS required
- Personal vehicle required
Preferred Qualifications
- Moderate Sedation Certification
- Electrophysiology (EP) experience
Additional Details
- Dress code: Solid-color personal scrubs (no designs, cartoons, or hoodies)
- Verbal de-escalation training (Welle or CPI) required prior to start
- Travelers residing in select upstate NY counties are not eligible for this assignment
