Scrub Tech – First Assist (Orthopedic Surgery)

Position Overview

The facility is seeking an experienced Scrub Technologist to provide first assist support in the orthopedic operating room. You will work alongside surgeons and surgical teams performing a variety of orthopedic procedures in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Shift & Schedule

• 4–5 eight-hour shifts per week
• Rotating on-call: averages 1–2 days per week, with every fourth week on call
• 13-week contract
• Start date: January 4, 2027

Requirements

• Current CPR certification
• Certification as OR Surgical Technician (required)
• Minimum orthopedic surgical experience required
• Ability to function as first assist in the OR

What You'll Do

You'll prepare instruments and equipment, anticipate surgeon needs, provide tissue retraction and hemostasis, and assist with wound closure and dressing application. Your orthopedic background will be essential to success in this role.
