Emergency Department RN — Night Shift | Kyle, TX

This opportunity places you in a fast-paced Emergency Department serving a multi-county region just south of Austin. The ED manages a broad acuity mix including trauma, stroke, and STEMI cases, with dedicated vertical care (fast-track) capabilities and pediatric readiness.

Shift & Schedule

• Nights: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM
• Rotating weekends and 2 major holidays required
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract

Clinical Environment

• Full-service ED with a dedicated trauma room and vertical care rooms
• Manages high-acuity presentations: trauma, acute stroke, STEMI, and pediatric emergencies
• Robust provider coverage throughout the night shift with MD and APP support
• On-site cafeteria available

Requirements

• Active RN license (verification required at submission)
• ED experience required
• Skills checklist and 2 professional references required at submission
• Onboarding requirements include specialty and EKG exams, core competency validation, color vision screening, and immunization documentation (MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, Influenza, TB testing)
• 11-panel drug screen required

Dress Code

Navy blue scrub top and bottom; facility-branded shirt worn on designated Fridays.
